The Charlotte-based owners of Brixx Wood-Fired Pizza are looking for a Greenville site to open one of their full-service restaurants.
Brixx specializes in hand-crafted pizzas cooked in a brick oven, sandwiches, pasta and salads, along with 14 wines available by the glass and 24 beers on tap.
Neil Newcomb, who co-founded McAlister’s Deli in 1989 when he was in college, has teamed with the company to form Brixx Franchise Systems LLC and work to expand the concept throughout the Southeast. “We feel like Greenville is a natural growth town for us,” said Newcomb. “I’m familiar with the market after opening the McAlister’s there, and I know how successful it has been. We do real well around college campuses. “We are looking for the perfect piece of real estate in Greenville right now, and looking for a franchisee,” Newcomb said.
Brixx has five restaurants in the Charlotte area, as well as locations in Greensboro, Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
